What is Respawn?

Respawn is an in-person and online social gaming community by Intermingle Australia. The in-person side happens in Melbourne, while Discord keeps the community connected between events.

We are a community for retro game lovers, casual players, competitive players, and people learning about all kinds of games. The focus is relaxed, social gaming with a retro and community feel.

How it works
  • Come down, grab food or a drink, or pay the $3 entry option.
  • Members can receive a badge and choose popular gaming franchise characters to represent who they are.
  • Patrons may bring consoles, but they must DM us beforehand and arrive early for setup.
  • Discord supports ongoing online engagement between physical meetups.

About the setup
  • We bring the core consoles and create the social gaming setup on site.
  • The focus is retro-friendly, social and easy-to-jump-into gaming.
  • Switch and Steam add more flexible options for featured games and tournaments.
  • Extra consoles may be permitted from patrons with prior approval via DM and early arrival for setup.
